Les Filles Boutique (pronounced “lay fee”) is a women’s accessories boutique specializing in artisan jewelry, handbags and more. ”Les Filles” which means “The Girls” in French represents co-owners Cathy Akright and Melissa Murphy Willis whom both have a passion for artisan jewelry and accessories. They both enjoy visiting local and national art shows but wanted the opportunity to shop for artisan designs more than just a few times a year. Then the light bulb went off…why not open a boutique that specializes in artisan designs?
Their dream came true in November of 2009 when they opened the doors to their
beautifully decorated and inviting boutique located at The Westport Village Shopping Center in Louisville, KY. Most of the artists they showcase are from Kentucky but they didn’t want to stop there. Les Filles Boutique features artists from all over including, Michigan, Chicago, Nashville, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Florida - even Israel and Australia! Many of the artists are nationally renowned and have been aired on Oprah as well as having their art featured in places such as The White House, The Guggenheim Museum and more.
